This is an email we have received from a client:
‘I had a dream where I saw many people. I was part of a large group, and we were either prisoners or slaves. We didn’t have free will. Together, we were working on a project, constructing the floor of an enormous building. The building seemed symbolic because no structure that large exists in reality. We worked on the floor from left to right, as seen from my perspective, using square pieces like tiles (though I’m unsure of the material). The color of the floor was particularly striking: it began on the left side as white and gradually transitioned to black on the right. Once we completed the entire floor, we all walked out of the building. Outside, we saw a city with stark contrasts. One part of the city was brand new—clean, modern, and inhabited by wealthy people. The other part was extremely poor—dirty, with people dressed in torn and damaged clothes. However, the poor area appeared to be shrinking, as if it was undergoing change. I didn’t directly see the transformation happening, but I had the strong feeling that, over time, the poor area would eventually disappear entirely. Towards the end of the dream, something unusual happened. I woke up and consciously tried to remember and analyze the details of the dream so I could write them down. However, I realized that even though I was awake—or at least partly conscious—the dream was still playing out in my mind as if it hadn’t ended.’
